"ease out" is a great way to cheat, it make photos look much better. i should have sent the stuff over to you to edit.
there are "active" check valves that have springs in them, and "passive" check valves that rely on gravity. i assume that you are talking about the bilge pump in the laz, after you get done today call the shop and if need be i'll get a better check valve sent out today.
